Andrew Goldman has served as a chief strategy officer, global head of marketing, and senior consultant to leading for-profit and non-profit CEOs for over twenty years. He also has served in senior public-policy positions in the U.S. Department of Defense and in the U.S. Congress, and worked as an editor/journalist at such publications as the Wall Street Journal.
Currently, Andrew serves as a senior consultant to some of the largest non-profits in the behavioral-health space, advising them on creating best-in-class products and services in coordination with State and Federal mental- and behavioral-health offices. As part of an ongoing strategic project for the Partnership to End Addiction, he initiated and oversaw a national K12 substance-use disorder professional-development training program, leading commercial partner programs and coordination with State and local education and health officials. He successfully led the integration of the first SUD/youth mental health, professional training modules on one of the nation's most widely used K12 platforms.
Andrew’s other non-profit strategy consulting included the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and the U.N. Foundation. Andrew worked directly with the CEOs and Board members of these organizations on strategic projects ranging from overhauling and redesigning corporate governance to refocusing and scaling marketing, development and sales departments. He also co-led Congressional briefings and negotiations over the Master Settlement Agreement with the major tobacco companies.
Prior to this consulting work, Andrew was the Chief Strategy Officer at the non-profit “Great Minds,” the leading K-12 curriculum provider in the country, which sells core curriculum in Math, English and Science to public-school districts and private and charter schools in all 50 states. Andrew oversaw the operating business, strategic partnerships, and new-business integration.
Andrew has been the Global Head of Marketing, Communications, and Public Policy for some of the most successful technology-enabled, financial services/ fintech firms, including Nasdaq/Island ECN, Instinet and Gerson Lehrman Group. In these roles, he oversaw all corporate communications and marketing, including digital, print, and broadcast campaigns and managed worldwide media and business partnerships.
Andrew was also a founding Manager Director of the Washington, DC office of a leading public-policy and crisis communication firm, Clark & Weinstock, representing such clients as Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, and Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.
He also served in the U.S. Department of Defense as Special Assistant to U.S. Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney and was a senior policy adviser to the Congressional Leadership on select security and financial policy issues.
Andrew was one of the founding editors of the foreign-affairs publication, The National Interest, and worked as an editorial writer and editor at The Asian Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong and the Public Interest in New York. His articles on foreign policy and international economics have been published in the Wall Street Journal, National Review, Orbis, and other leading journals and newspapers.
